Possible shopping problem...

Hubs was gone this week, traveling for work, leaving me to tend to our two children, while working full-time, all on my own.  I was terrified of the horror I just knew would ensue the second he left...To my surprise, I was able to handle it all just fine and the kids were so well behaved.  The kids even had baths over the last few days! It was fun to Facetime with Daddy while the kids, Sassy and I were snuggled in the bed together and again while we were all driving to school in the mornings.  It's the little things.

Last week I took my Mama over to a friend's house to play make-up.  She sells Mary Kay, which I had never tried before, and she offered to give us mini-makeovers.  Mama insisted on buying make-up for me, heck yes! I got new foundation, blush, eye shadow and mascara!  This make-up had me feeling so pretty one day that I even took a selfie in the bathroom at work...Shhhh, don't tell anyone...

I have purchased a few home decor items over the last few months that I am SO excited about.  I have been very overwhelmed with how to decorate our home and give it a style that represents our family.  The biggest source of frustration has been our walls.  We have insanely high ceilings, which makes it awkward to try and fill up wall space without it looking random.  Most items I have purchased so far have been at a local store who focuses on procuring items that are along the same style as JoAnna Gaines and the Magnolia line.  I am still waiting for a few of the items to come in, but here are some of the things I have purchased lately...

So maybe I am shopping too much because I also just had to show you the adorable swim suits I purchased for Vivian for the summer.  I also plan to purchase a bonnet from the Beaufort Bonnet Company.

Mermaid Short Rashguard // Eyelet Ruffle Swimsuit One Piece // Beaufort Bonnet - Pink Savannah Seersucker
Bubba stays pretty basic with his style.  I am lucky he is clothed at all in the summer.  He is one of those kids that prefers to be nekked, especially in the summer.

Swim trunks // flip flops // sunglasses // hat

While I am not a fan of the insanely hot weather that stays in Georgia for 10 months of the year, I am ready for pool season.  My Mother-in-Law has the most amazing pool that overlooks the large pond on the property.  We live there all summer long and I am ready for it...my body may not be swim suit ready...but I sure am!

Mama and I went to get manicures and pedicures on Sunday afternoon.  My nails had gotten long and I wanted to get gel polish on them before they started to tear.  Well my nail tech told me about this new technique that involves powder and no painting, except for the clear coats.  While it was a little time consuming, it was SO worth it.  It looks like I have acrylic nails and I love it...not to mention there is no paint to chip.

Vivian is four months old today!  I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by.  Viv has handled a lot of change this last month with her Mama going back to work, but she has handled it all like a champ.  Now that she is out of her colicky stage, she is one of the sweetest babies.  She is always absolutely delighted to see you and the little things make her joyful, even at this young of an age. I never knew such a large piece of our family was missing until she joined us.

Happy Friday, y'all! Can you believe it will be March next week!?!?
