Fall & Winter Boys Fashion

Now that Vivian is here, and we pretty much have everything we need for her outside of a never ending supply of diapers, I have been trying to focus on Bubba's wardrobe.  I really fell behind in building up his cold weather wardrobe as I got a little too wrapped up in baby world.  Here are some of Bubba's staple outfits for the colder weather.  It may be the South, but it still gets frigid in these parts!
1. Bubba loves Under Armour.  Yes it is a popular and hugely expensive brand, but to be fair the quality of clothing in incomparable.  The materials keep him warm in the winter and cool in the summer, plus Bubba loves camo which is a bona fide color to Under Armour.  This would be his favorite outfit, along with a t-shirt underneath, to go outside and throw the football in.

2. Bubba has also developed an appreciation for the simple flannel shirt/jeans/boots combo.  Probably due to that being all his Daddy wears during the colder months.  I have to say, it is a great look for both of the boys.  This is a typical outfit Bubba would want to wear to school during winter months or when we go to Pumpkin Patch.

3. Carhartt is a staple brand in our household.  All three of us have Carhartt coats and the boys also have bibs, hats, etc.  I highly recommend this brand as it is extremely durable and warm. Bubba loves to wear this stuff for every day to school and such, but also really likes to use it to go ride ATV's on the family property.

4.  These are just some other basic items that we rely on during the colder months of the year.  Bubba prefers to wear a fleece jacket whenever he can versus an actual coat.  These puffer jackets are a great light-weight, yet warm, jacket that is easy to stuff in a backpack.  Of course you always need gloves and hats in the winter months, we usually end up going with a matching set...which we never seem to be able to keep all the matching stuff together.  These are the items that are great to use for school as they are easy to store.

5. This area is more of the mom area.  Bubba doesn't mind wearing this stuff, but it's not always his favorite.  I always keep a couple pairs of khakis, polos and sweaters for any sort of dinners, events or pictures.  Cowboy boots work well with these outfits, but I also like to have another style to depend on that is not a boot nor a tennis shoe.

Well there you have it, some of the items that you might find in Bubba's closet.  What are some of your favorite winter clothing items for your kids?

  1. We are really digging under armor too! And you're totally right, the quality is worth the price! My boys must wear toboggans when they go out in the cold. I worry about their ears.
