If Friday Were a Person, I would Hug Em' - West & Rose Farm

If Friday Were a Person, I would Hug Em'

This week has been a whirlwind.  I am really glad that it is over with.  It would be wonderful if we could relax this weekend, however we still have stuff to finish up over at our old house and tons of projects to do at the new house.  I am looking forward to when we have things situated in the new house and can begin to receive guests.

Bubba has been fighting a cold all week.  It is that time of year as I have noticed several of the kids in his class with stuffy noses.  So we have begun the season of having the humidifier on every night.  At our previous house it stayed very cold and dry, making it to where we had to use the humidifier every night throughout late fall and winter.  I am interested to see if our new house, which was built over 60 years after our old house, will be a bit easier to handle in the colder months.  Only time will tell.

Hubs and I have recently discovered Fixer Upper with Chip & Joanna Gaines.  I can't get enough of them.  Talk about major #relationshipgoals and #housegoals!  I absolutely love their style and how resourceful they are, especially Joanna.  She has an eye for style and decor that I would love to have.  The first season of fixer upper is on Netflix and I cannot wait for a rainy day to binge watch and write down ideas...that I will probably never end up doing!

Thursday morning, Bubba and I were sitting at the dining room table eating breakfast.  I had the news on, which normally I turn off when I get my son up because, well...just let them be little, but this morning, I was a little behind so I forgot to turn off the TV.  Donald Trump was front and center on the news that morning.  Jack looked at Trump quizzically, then looked at me and asked "Mama, is that a bad guy?"  I laughed out loud and said "In this household he is!" Hubs and I are not big fans of him.  We are definitely not looking forward to the year ahead, politically.  People get so ugly during election season.  I really hope this is the year people learn to respect one another and their educated opinions.  Key word being educated...

fall 2015 style

My closet is in desperate need of some new fall/winter pieces.  I am loving that plaid is the big thing this season and plan on incorporating the pattern into my wardrobe ASAP.  I am also loving that flare jeans are back in style.  I plan on finding the perfect pair and then buying at least 10 pairs to last me through the next flare jean drought!

I signed up for Ipsy Glam Bag subscription recently.  For $10 a month I will be sent products based on the questions I answered for my account profile.  They ask you things like the color of your hair, eyes and skin as well as how adventurous you are with make up and styles you identify with.  They use your answers to select the best products to go in your glam bag.  I get my first one in November and the suspense is already killing me!  CLICK HERE to use my referral code to sign up!

Those are my thoughts going into Friday.  I welcome the weekend with open arms!  We have a few fun things planned as well as some work that needs to be done and then Monday I get to go with Bubba on his first school field trip to the Pumpkin Patch!!!!

Happy Weekending!!
